"You're taking your five toes and grabbing your shoe to make sure it doesn't slide out," he said. "That action of the toes grabbing the shoe on the toe box is not normal."
Additionally, flip-flops don’t provide good arch support; placing the ankles out of place, eventually causing misalignment with the hips and spine. The open-toed rubber footwear also makes users prone to punctures on the floor from foreign objects.
